Selling trucks since 1981
Dye Autos has been selling vehicles since 1981. Today we're on Miller Street in Wheat Ridge, three minutes off I-70 and Kipling. Veteran owned, family owned, and small enough that the person who answers the phone is usually the person who can actually help you.
What we sell has shifted over the years, but the center of it has stayed the same: work trucks. Diesel and gas pickups, cargo and passenger vans, flatbeds, box trucks, chassis cabs. The vehicles that earn a living. Contractors, plumbers, landscapers and delivery outfits keep coming back, and a lot of our business is somebody's second or third truck from us.
One price, and we mean it
The number on the listing is the number on the paperwork. No four-square, no trip to the sales manager's office, no discovering a fee at signing that wasn't in the price. Our $599 dealer and handling fee is already included in what you see. Tax and state fees are not, because those go to the state rather than to us.
This costs us the occasional customer who wants to feel like they won a negotiation. We're fine with that. Most people, especially people buying a truck for work on a Tuesday afternoon, would rather have their time back.
How a vehicle gets on our lot
We buy from trade-ins, local fleets and auctions. Before anything gets listed it goes to a professional third-party shop for inspection and whatever service it needs — independent mechanics with no stake in whether we sell it. If something turns up that we can't put right, the vehicle doesn't get listed.
We pull a Carfax on every vehicle and hand it over free, whether or not you buy. We'd also rather tell you what a truck needs than have you find out in a month. It makes for a shorter conversation and a longer relationship.

Most of our customers are along the Front Range, but work trucks priced right are worth a drive and we sell into Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico and Utah regularly. We're thirty minutes from Denver International, so a fair number of people fly in and drive home. We don't ship or deliver — buyers arrange their own transport — and we'll say so up front rather than let anyone assume otherwise.
