Questions we get every day

Pricing, financing, trades, and how buying from out of state actually works. If it isn’t here, call and ask.

Pricing & fees

Is the advertised price the real price?

Yes. The number on the listing is the number on the paperwork. There’s no negotiation because there’s nothing built in to negotiate away.

Our $599 dealer and handling fee is already included in the advertised price. Sales tax, title, registration and any other state or federal fees are not, because those are collected on behalf of the state rather than by us.

What is the $599 dealer and handling fee?

It covers the paperwork and processing on our end. Unlike most dealers, we include it in the advertised price rather than adding it at signing, so the price you see is what you’ll actually pay before tax and state fees.

Will you come down on the price?

No, and we’d rather be straight about that than waste your afternoon. One price means we price it right at the start instead of starting high and haggling down. If you think a vehicle is priced wrong, tell us why — we’d genuinely like to know.

Do you take cash?

Yes, and a good share of our business is cash. We also take cashier’s checks and wires. There’s no penalty or worse pricing for paying cash.

Buying

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk the lot any time we’re open. If you’re driving a long way, call ahead and we’ll make sure the vehicle is still here and pulled up front.

Can I test drive it?

Yes. Bring a valid driver’s license. For a longer drive or a loaded test, just ask.

Can I have my own mechanic look at it?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Arrange a pre-purchase inspection wherever you like and we’ll make the vehicle available. We’ve never turned one down.

What do I need to bring to buy?

A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. If you’re trading, bring the title or your lender’s payoff information, the registration, and both sets of keys.

Will you hold a vehicle for me?

With a refundable deposit, yes. We’ll agree on how long up front rather than leaving it vague.

Financing

Do you finance?

Yes. We work with local credit unions, national banks and programs built for tougher credit. Fill out the application and we shop it to several lenders at once rather than one at a time.

Can I get financed with bad credit?

Often, yes. Bankruptcies, repossessions and collections are things we’ve placed loans through before. Tell us about it on the application — it helps us send it to the right lender the first time instead of collecting declines.

Do you finance vehicles bought in a business name?

Yes, through a separate commercial application that looks at the business rather than you personally. It asks for the EIN, revenue and bank history, and nearly always involves a personal guarantee from the owner.

Why don’t you show monthly payments on the listings?

Because the number would be wrong for almost everyone who reads it. Payments depend on credit, term, down payment and rate, and a made-up estimate on a listing sets an expectation we can’t honour. Apply and we’ll give you a real number.

Trades & selling us your vehicle

Do you buy vehicles if I’m not buying one?

Yes. We buy outright whether or not you buy from us, and we’ll write a check the same day if the vehicle checks out.

How do I get an offer?

Send the VIN, mileage and a few photos through the sell or trade form, or just drive it over during business hours. Either way an offer isn’t final until we’ve seen the vehicle in person.

What if I still owe money on it?

That’s normal. We’ll handle the payoff with your lender. If you owe more than it’s worth, we’ll tell you exactly where you stand rather than burying it in the numbers.

Do you buy fleets?

Yes, several vehicles at once is fine and we’d rather do that than one at a time. Call and ask for the owner.

Buying from out of state

Do you deliver or ship?

No. Transport is arranged by the buyer. Plenty of people use a national carrier and plenty just fly in and drive home — Denver International is about thirty minutes from our lot. We’ll have the vehicle ready and we’ll load it for your carrier at no charge.

Can I buy without seeing it in person?

Yes, and people do it regularly. Ask us for extra photos of anything you want to see, and get an independent inspection if it makes you more comfortable.

How does registration work if I’m out of state?

You register in your home state, not Colorado. We provide the signed title, bill of sale and odometer statement, and we can issue a temporary permit for the drive home. Sales tax is paid in your state when you register.

How do I pay from out of state?

A wire or a cashier’s check. We’ll send instructions directly — never trust wire instructions that arrive in an unsolicited email, from us or anyone else.

The vehicles

Are your vehicles inspected?

Yes. Every vehicle goes to a professional third-party shop for inspection and whatever service it needs before it’s listed. Independent mechanics with no stake in whether it sells.

Do you provide a vehicle history report?

Yes, free, whether or not you buy. We pull a Carfax on every vehicle before it goes on the lot and there’s a link on every vehicle page.

Do the vehicles come with a warranty?

It varies by vehicle and age. Ask about the specific one you’re looking at and we’ll tell you plainly what it does and doesn’t come with.

What kinds of vehicles do you specialise in?

Work trucks above all — diesel and gas pickups, cargo and passenger vans, flatbeds, box trucks and chassis cabs. We also carry SUVs and cars that come through on trade.

Not answered here?

Call and ask. You’ll get a person who knows the inventory rather than a call centre.
