Buying from out of state

How a remote purchase actually works here — deposits, paperwork, temp tags, and who arranges transport.

30 minutes from Denver International
Independent inspections welcome
Transport is arranged by you

A good share of our trucks leave Colorado. Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah — work trucks priced right are worth a drive, and Denver International is thirty minutes from our lot, so plenty of buyers fly in and drive home the same day.

Here's exactly how it works, including the part most dealers are vague about.

How a remote purchase goes

1

Ask everything first

Call or text and we'll shoot extra photos of whatever you want to see — undercarriage, rust, tire tread, a cold start. We'd rather answer it now than have you fly out to a surprise.

2

Hold it with a deposit

A refundable deposit takes the vehicle off the market while you make arrangements. We'll agree on how long up front.

3

Paperwork and payment

Most of it can be signed electronically before you arrive. Payment is a wire or a cashier's check — we'll send instructions directly, never by unsolicited email.

4

Pick it up

Fly into DIA and we'll get you from the airport to the lot, or send the carrier you've arranged. Either way it's ready and fueled when it leaves.

We don't ship or deliver — and we'd rather say so plainly

Transport is arranged by you, not us. Some dealers bury this; we'd rather you know before you get attached to a truck. Plenty of buyers use a national carrier, and plenty just fly in and drive back. Both work fine. We'll have the vehicle ready either way and we'll load it for a carrier at no charge.

Titling and plates

You register the vehicle in your home state, not Colorado. We provide the signed title, bill of sale, and odometer statement, and we can issue a temporary permit so you're legal for the drive home. Sales tax is paid in your state when you register, which is why our advertised price never includes it.

Requirements differ by state — some want an emissions or VIN inspection when the vehicle arrives, some don't. Tell us where you're registering and we'll make sure the paperwork matches what your DMV expects.

Common questions

Can I get an independent inspection?

Yes, and we encourage it. Arrange a mobile mechanic and we'll give them access. We've never turned one down.

Is the deposit refundable?

Yes, if the vehicle isn't as described or you change your mind within the window we agreed on.

How long will you hold it?

Usually a few days, longer if you're arranging transport. We'll be straight with you about it rather than quietly selling it out from under you.

Can I finance from out of state?

Often, though some lenders restrict where the buyer lives. Apply and we'll tell you quickly rather than stringing it along.

Thirty minutes from DIA

Denver International to our lot on Miller Street is about a half hour. Morning flight in, on the road by lunch, and you're in Cheyenne or Grand Junction the same day.

Start with a phone call

Buying sight-unseen goes better when you've talked to a person. Call and ask us the hard questions about the truck.
